A tribute to the forgotten session musicians of yesteryear.

In this series of linocuts, I wanted to simplify the musician form and deconstruct their instruments to a point where I could carve it into the lino to create a bold and graphic image. I selected three muted colours of a similar tone so that the images would all work together in any combination.

All keyboards look great from above because of the distinctive pattern of the keys. I used ariel photographs of my own Hammond Organ to help create this composition.

1 colour lino print, hand carved and pressed on Fabriano Tiziano Acid free 160gsm pastel paper.
