This was pieced together from several old photographs. I researched Brighton’s West Pier during my time at the Royal College of Art. I visited many times taking hundreds of photographs to use as inspiration for my first year stop motion film.

Even back in 1998 there was a certain melancholy about the disrepair of this once magnificent landmark. When it finally burned down and fell into the sea forever, I wanted to revisit those photos and reimagine it a time when it was in its full glory. It seemed appropriate to print it in Brighton Rock pink.
