A tribute to the forgotten session musicians of yesteryear.

In this series of linocuts, I wanted to simplify the musician’s form and deconstruct their instruments to a point where I could carve it into the lino to create a bold and graphic image. I selected three muted colours of a similar tone so that they would all work together in any combination.

A pure and simple exercise here in creating some interesting perspective on the piano and creating an overall composition with a minimal amount of lines and angles.

1 colour lino print, hand carved and pressed on Canson Moulin Mi Teintes Acid free 160gsm paper.
