Communication breakdown in a 1960’s Italian restaurant.

Inspired by a trip to Milan with my wife, I designed, animated and directed a stop motion short film for the Channel 4 Animator in Residence Scheme. The dialogue features the incredible voice talents of Victor Spinetti and Nanette Newman and a fantastic soundtrack from Italy’s finest; Paolo Negri and The Link Quartet.

I wanted to create some graphic images from the film inspired by the film posters of the era. Voglio Parlare forms part of a tryptic and depicts overindulgence and an expensive misunderstanding in one of Rome’s finest restaurants.
